Combat the climate emergency and win a solar panel package for your school!

Due to events over the last few months, we are aware that not all schools have had the opportunity to get involved in the solar panel
competition that we are running in partnership with Storengy UK.

We will be relaunching the competition in September 2020 to allow as many of you as possible to get involved.

All entries received to date will still be counted as a valid entry and those schools that have already provided entries will not be excluded from submitting further entries in line with the terms and conditions.

We will share more information and full terms and conditions with you in future bulletins from September 2020.

Thank you all

In their mission to lead the way to net zero carbon emissions, Cheshire East and Storengy UK are running a competition for Cheshire East primaries to win a solar panel package worth up to £10,000 .

We want the children to be as creative as possible with their entries and to share their ideas on what they will do to combat the climate emergency, perhaps through changes in how they use energy for travelling, or in the home and at school, or coming up with ideas for new climate friendly technologies which Storengy UK could develop.

Entries can be submitted either electronically or in print format to carbonneutral@cheshireeast.gov.uk or to the Communications Team, Cheshire East Council, Westfields, Middlewich Road, Sandbach, CW11 1HZ.  A selection of entries will be displayed in Cheshire East Council buildings.

The competition opens on Monday 10 February and the closing date is Friday 3 April.

Please remember to put the children's name, age and school year on the entry.

We can't wait to see the ideas the children come up with!

Terms and Conditions are attached.
