Your essential ICT service

Cheshire East School's ICT team provides a range of ICT services designed to match the particular needs of schools in both the classroom and the school office. Our services are continually reviewed and tailored to keep up with both changing technologies and your feedback on how you want to get the best out of your ICT

We are unique in the range of services that we offer our clients; other providers are able to cover some of what we offer, but we are the only provider offering a single point of contact for desktop, applications, network and back-up provision. Our Service Desk handles all calls and ensures that they are routed to the correct team, saving you from having to contact individual suppliers for a resolution.

Our dedicated network team will resolve connectivity issues and ensure that you can access the internal web sites that other suppliers will have no knowledge of. It almost goes without saying that we have, by far, the highest level of understanding and experience in providing service to schools in Cheshire and have a huge wealth of vital knowledge. We have an excellent track record in providing these services, and if there are services we don’t yet provide, or if you have equipment you would like us to cover, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

We currently support some 300 schools across Cheshire, ranging from small nurseries to substantial secondary schools. We also provide support for other establishments such as pupil referral units and independent schools/academies. If you are considering our service, it would be unusual if we don’t already assist someone similar, so we are likely to have experience of any special requirements that you might have. We regularly review the services that we offer so we welcome any approaches regarding extending our services.

The charging structure for the services offered through this agreement allows schools to select the ICT services and level of support appropriate to their needs. Some costs are fixed within the service whilst others can be selected on an ad-hoc basis. If you wish to understand more about what our services include, please contact us. We offer a single point of contact for all issues and a team who are dedicated and experienced in the tools and systems that you use. The most cost effective way of buying our services is in service bundles as this allows us to return benefits to you in terms of economies of scale.

Our service spans a broad range of areas including:
- Support for, and maintenance of, the desktop environment for school management or curriculum purposes
- The delivery and support of school management software (SIMS) by a fully Capita SIMS Accredited Support Team
- Server installation and configuration service
- Provision of training e.g. SIMS, etc.
- Regular forums to keep our customers abreast of software changes, to make them aware of good practices and to feedback issues to support staff and colleagues in other schools
- Strategic and technical advice on the wide range of ICT available for use in schoos.
